Meet Kristi Golden

I was born and raised in South Dakota with a love for the values that make this a great place to live, work, worship, and raise my family.

I support strong, healthy families, fiscally conservative management of our resources, and investing in our state's future.

I'm proud to have deep South Dakota roots and strong core values.

With my experiences and values guiding me, I am eager to dive into the issues that matter most to the people of South Dakota and work hard to address them.

When it comes to solving problems, big top-down approaches don’t work.

It’s the grassroots, local-up solutions that genuinely make a difference.

At the very heart of who I am is my family. My husband, Bill, and I are proud parents to two remarkable daughters. Wanting the best for my daughters, I knew a good education was one of the best ways to set them up for success. I got involved with our school district and was a founding member of the West Central Education Foundation, which has raised and distributed nearly $200,000.

My parents were deeply invested in South Dakota and the Sioux Falls region. Both were raised on the farm and in South Dakota, those roots run deep! They firmly believed in giving back to the community by serving others and building a solid foundation for individuals to succeed.

I’m proud to continue their tradition and work for a bright future for my daughters, just as they did for me.
